What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Signature Touch Property Management?
Job Description, but not limited to:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team as we continue to grow. You will work with our management team to provide accounting services to a diverse client base which will allow for challenging assignments and professional growth opportunities.
Duties, but not limited to:
- Maintain all general ledger accounts for assigned properties. Functions include processing monthly journal entries and updating supporting workpaper schedules.
- Review monthly vendor invoices ensuring proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile monthly bank accounts; including operating and reserves held with financial institutions.
- Assist in analyzing monthly financial reporting packages for accuracy.
- Maintain current receivables for each assigned property, with review of monthly collection of payments from homeowners, proper cash application, and directly contacting homeowners.
- Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation and issuing proper refunds or adjustments.
- Prepare and ensure timely and accurate special operating and reserve assessment invoicing, as needed.
- Assist in 1099 preparation and collection of COI and W9 for accuracy.
- Support the accounting team while learning the ins and outs of the department.
- Initiate weekly wire transfers, and process weekly check runs and deposits for each assigned property.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree at minimum or bachelor’s degree (desired) in accounting or a related field.
- 3 (minimum) or more years of experience in business accounting. Exposure to real estate and association management is a plus.
- Ability to learn new accounting software Enumerate; formerly known as TOPS.
- Proficient with Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Desktop QuickBooks Premier, Google Docs, etc.
- Ability to communicate information clearly and anticipate and resolve issues/problems on a proactive basis with clients & supervisors.
- Excellent collaborative skills to work as a team with colleagues across various functional areas.
- Detail-oriented, yet flexible, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Strong work ethic with the highest degree of honesty, integrity, and discretion.
- Representing Signature Touch in a positive light by maintaining a professional demeanor, dress, and attitude at all times.
- Experience with QuickBooks and/or accounting specific software.
Additional Information:
- Part-time, but with the opportunity to become full-time.
- Expected Hours: 15-30 Hours
- Valid Driver’s License
- Office Hours are: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm
- Holiday's Off: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & After, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.
- Weekends off, unless the staff is required to report to work on a Saturday/Sunday.
- Remote Work: is not available. Unless the office is closed due to severe weather. Office closures are announced by the Management Team & direct supervisor.
- Must be able to pass drug test before beginning. In addition, we reserve the right to request random drug tests at any point.

Pay: $22.00 (Bi-Weekly) to start.
