Role Description
Signet Maritime Corporation has an immediate opening for a detail-oriented, self-motivated and organized Accountant in the Pascagoula office. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of accounting support related tasks and will be able to work independently. Signet Maritime is seeking an individual with the ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast paced and ever-changing environment, sometimes under pressure. An individual who remains flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient while always maintaining a high level of professionalism. Any training and further education toward understanding the many facets of our worldwide contributions to the marine industry will be provided.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field from an accredited university (Minimum GPA of 3.0)
- Previous accounting and QuickBooks experience
- Excellent written and verbal skills
Responsibilities
- Handles all aspects of Accounts Receivable
- Revenue projections
- Calculate sales and use tax and ICW taxes
- Assist with payroll as needed
- Create Estimated Cost Analyses for customers upon request
- Assist with month end close process
- Job costing and financial management
- Assist with the bidding and budgeting process for jobs
- Maintain and distribute costing information for management
- Drive process improvements
- Other tasks as assigned
