We’re looking for a Regional Specification Sales Manager to join Cooper Lighting Solutions in the North Texas territory.

As the Regional Specification Sales Manager sales, you will be responsible for the growth of Cooper Lighting Solutions specification products including, but not limited to, Ametrix, io, Halo Commercial, Portfolio, Corelite, Neoray, Metalux, Failsafe, McGraw Edison, Invue, Shaper, Prentalux and Surelites. The position will require travel throughout the North Gulf territory, to work with a diverse and talented team of independent manufacturing agents, to educate and motivate them to garner specifications leading to sales for CLS lighting brands.

What you’ll do

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Regional Specification Sales Manager-North Gulf- ideally based in the Dallas Fort Worth area, covering North Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas for the Cooper Lighting Business.

  • You will work closely with a diverse and dedicated team of manufacturing sales agents to drive sales for Cooper Lighting Solutions specification brands.
  • You will work closely with product development and marketing teams, identifying new lighting product ideas and applications, and prioritizing new product development.
  • You will report out to senior leadership on key performance metrics.
  • You will build relationships with key specifiers, and agents helping them solve their most complex lighting challenges

More About You

While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:

  • 5 years of commercial sales across a multi-state territory preferably in the lighting, controls, or similar industries
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience as lighting sales agent, regional lighting sales manager, or as design professional
  • Proven track record of success
  • Ability to travel 50%-60%

What you’ll get in return…

You will play a key role in bringing these innovative products to market in your region by working with both the Cooper Lighting Solutions product teams as well as your agents. In addition, with a diverse group of other knowledgeable and talented regional sales manager you will have the opportunity to gain connections and knowledge through outside organizations such as the IES, IALD LIRC, AIA, USGBC and IWBI.

Salary: $120,000 - $176,000 Base

Bonus: Target 35% Sales Incentive bonus
