Job Description
The Production Supervisor oversees and coordinates the efforts of the hourly production employees to ensure that product specifications are met with a high standard of quality. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with all standards, policies, regulations, for the safe, environmentally sound production of a quality product.
- Working closely with plant staff to provide a safe working environment.
- Responsible for meeting plant and company objectives.
- Performing day-to-day operations on the production floor with constant emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Running production lines and machines when employees are absent, or the plant is shorthanded with workers.
- Directing, teaching, coaching, and training of production employees.
- Being responsible to maintain shop floor metrics, visual controls, and continuous improvement methods to the manufacturing floor.
- Supervision of production associates including performance reviews, onboarding, discipline, and terminations.
- Monitoring and administering attendance and vacation.
