JOB TITLE: Community Engagement Manager
Reports To: Advocacy Director FLSA: FT Exempt
Effective: February 2025
Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting and training volunteers and staff within the organization. This includes scheduling Advocate University in collaboration with the Volunteer and Hotline Coordinator and other leadership team members; scheduling and support of required ongoing and continuing education for staff and volunteers, including sharing of webinars and other learning opportunities with staff and volunteers. In addition, this position will assist with the coordination of external engagement and outreach opportunities to promote organizational services and expand organizational reach through outreach events and tabling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Management and coordination of staff and current and future volunteers regarding applications, interviews, Advocate University, and ongoing training opportunities
- Collect and share information on webinars, community trainings, and other opportunities with staff and volunteers.
- Coordinate and lead Advocate University including grading and final examinations of all participants.
- Assist with data management via Collaborate as well as collection of data.
- Coordinate requests for organization participation in outreach and tabling events, through use of volunteers and staff.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will be responsible for the management of Community Engagement staff, contractors, and volunteers.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in business, human services, social work, or related field, or a minimum of four years of related work experience is required.
A minimum of two years experience in training and/or volunteer management is preferred. Ability to communicate fluently in English required. The ability to communicate in a second language is a plus.
COMPENSATION:
Salary range $47,000-$50,000
