Sigray is looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant to join our team, managing a range of office and clerical duties to support daily operations. This role is ideal for an individual who is highly organized, tech-savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in maintaining efficient workflows, managing documentation, and assisting with general administrative support.
Please Note: Sigray will be relocating our offices from Concord to Benicia, CA, in early 2025.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Proactively anticipate office needs and take the initiative to address them
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and adapt to shifting priorities
- Communicate effectively and work well with team members in a collaborative environment
- Have experience in fast-paced or startup environments (an interest in technology or scientific industries is a plus!)
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate general office activities, including managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence
- Support scheduling and calendar management for meetings and events
- Organize files and documents efficiently while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable laws
- Assist with other general administrative tasks to support the Admin team
Skills:
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an administrative or office assistant role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or GSuite
- Experience working in a startup environment is a plus
- Experience working in a scientific equipment manufacturing environment is a plus

Sigray is a rapidly growing startup based in Concord, CA, that manufactures X-ray sources, optics, and systems. The X-ray systems include X-ray spectroscopy, microfluorescence, and nano- and micro-computed tomography, as well as several unreleased instruments under active development. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of instrumentation design and programming of motion control systems.
The company was started by Dr. Wenbing Yun, who previously founded Xradia, a world leading x-ray microscopy company that was later successfully acquired by Carl Zeiss as its x-ray microscopy unit. Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
