Controls (EPICS) Engineer

Sigray, Inc. has an immediate need for a Controls Engineer experienced with the EPICS software collaboration to join our team, supporting the EPICS Controls infrastructure used company-wide in our Scientific, Engineering, and Administration systems. This is an exciting position and the successful candidate will be helping the development, manufacture, maintenance, support of extraordinarily powerful X-ray experimental systems. This position is a Senior position. The successful applicant will work a team of highly experienced software staff, with Mechanical Engineers and with Scientists.

The Ideal Candidate will :

• Provide EPICS support for the company products and development systems
• Work with scientists, engineers, and other staff to deliver Controls solutions for the Sigray product;
• Assist in providing EPICS based controls for Scanning, detectors, motion systems;  and
• Assist writing technical documentation and procedures for software and hardware systems.

Sigray is a rapidly growing startup based in Benicia, CA, that manufactures X-ray sources, optics, and X-ray systems. The X-ray systems include X-ray spectroscopy, microfluorescence, and nano- and micro- computed tomography, as well as several unreleased instruments under active development.
