Under general supervision, prepare, process and analysis payroll ensuring compliance with all applicable state and Federal wage and hour laws. Prepare various reports and filings as required by Federal, state and local laws, Sika policy and outside agencies.

Job Description
Broad Function and Purpose of Position:
Under general supervision, prepare, process and analysis payroll ensuring compliance with all applicable state and Federal wage and hour laws. Prepare various reports and filings as required by Federal, state and local laws, Sika policy and outside agencies.
Specific Responsibilities
- Process weekly, semi-monthly, bonus and incentive payrolls; prepare and process non-routine, unscheduled and special payrolls as required. Ensure compliance with all applicable state and Federal wage and hour laws.
- Review approved personnel actions to determine rate of pay, withholdings and deductions, and all other information for new hires. Review approved personnel actions to determine changes in rate of pay, shifts, withholdings and deductions, leaves of absence, overtime, vacation accruals, terminations and all other information for current employees; insure all input and salary changes are authorized through company policy.
- Act as liaison with outside payroll vendor for accurate and timely payroll processing, problem resolution and error corrections; participate in the evaluation of payroll system products and companies and make recommendations for changes.
- Resolve payroll related questions with all locations, employees and management.
- Process and reconcile request for funds for outside payroll vendors, i.e., credit union, union dues, garnishments, employee relocation, etc.
- Process all journal entries related to payroll. Prepare and process all year-end W-2 reconciliation.
- Maintain orderly and efficient record retention as required by law.
- Maintain and report monthly headcount information.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information
- Perform and assist with other payroll and accounting related duties as assigned.
- Assist with the monthly close and Fixed Asset Management
- Three – five years’ experience in preparation, processing and maintenance of outside vendor computerized payroll for all Sika Employees.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Management or equivalent combination of education and experience is helpful.
- Must possess excellent knowledge of multi-state payroll taxes and other Federal, state and local payroll laws.
- Planning and organization and an ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill, and attention to detail.
