Night Shift: 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM (Monday - Thursday)

Position Overview

At SilencerCo, our Metal Prep Technicians specializing in Paint (Tech line/ Cerakote) play a crucial role in preparing and coating manufactured parts to achieve a high-quality, durable finish. This role focuses on painting with high temp rated and scratch resistant coating , a 2 part oven curing paint process that can withstand temperatures up to 1000 degrees.

Key Responsibilities

• Paint Processing – Operate, Inspect, and Maintain paint equipment to ensure

Consistent results and high-quality finishes.

• Visual Inspection – Inspect parts for imperfections, such as dings, dents, scratches, weld flaws, paint runs, and any other common issues found in most paint related coatings. All products must be thoroughly inspected before and after completion.

• Surface Preparation – Perform deburring, sand blasting, and other pre-treatment

processes to ensure proper adhesion and finish.

• Process Monitoring – Maintain proper weight mixture of Hardener and Paint, oven temperatures, and Paint gun performance to ensure uniform coating results.

• Routine Maintenance – Conduct regular upkeep of the Paint department, paint booth, paint guns, racking fixtures, and high-temperature curing ovens.

• Problem-Solving – Identify and troubleshoot paint related issues, evaluate solutions, and

implement corrective actions.

• Data Collection & Quality Control – Used process control measurements and collected

data to ensure paint process effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

• Safety & Compliance – Follow all SilencerCo safety standards and procedures,

including handling of chemicals, PPE requirements, and injury prevention protocols.

• General Metal Prep Tasks – Assist in other metal preparation duties as needed,

including operating industrial wash, blast, and tumble machinery.

Qualifications & Skills

Preferred:

• Experience with high temp paint related coatings or similar metal finishing processes.

• Ability to operate complex hand tools and industrial equipment.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Effective time management and ability to work both independently and in a team.

• Willingness to adapt to process improvements and changes.

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, and quality control.

• Comfort using power/air tools for extended periods.

• Familiarity with SilencerCo products is a plus.

Required:

• Ability to lift 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.

• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

1 year of related work experience.
