As a Quality Technician, you are responsible for checking all products throughout production and before they are shipped to customers, ensuring that we meet our high standard for precision and durability. Quality Technicians play a role in inspecting and ensuring that products meet or exceed blueprint specifications and other fit, form, and function-related parameters. You would be responsible for calibrating and issuing measuring equipment/gauges to Operators and other co-workers to ensure that products can be properly inspected at their workstations.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Quality Technician will take on the role of Weld Validation Shooter. This involves shooting and testing production silencers to validate baffle welds as part of an established testing process. The Weld Validation Shooter is expected to work independently, quickly, and efficiently, ensuring high-quality standards while being able to step back and identify areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

  • Kit measuring instruments for upcoming Machine Changeovers to minimize downtime.
  • Order new measuring instruments both for new products and to replace worn or damaged instruments.
  • React to Quality abnormalities in the production environment.
  • Read and comprehend blueprints, data, manuals, SOPs, or other documentation to determine specifications, inspection, and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification process, formulas, or measuring instruments required.
  • Problem-solve non-conforming issues that may arise within the shop.
  • Regularly create and implement Process Improvements.
  • Operation of our coordinate measuring machine, Keyence optical measurement system, surface roughness tester, and other advanced metrology equipment.
  • Execute regular Quality Certification Service (QCS) on products.
  • Report features or parts which don't conform to print or design intent (NCR).
  • Weld Validation Shooter: Responsible for shooting and testing production silencers, specifically testing baffle welds by physically shooting the silencers within an already established process. Work independently, quickly, and efficiently while ensuring high-quality standards, identifying areas of improvement, and suggesting enhancements to streamline and optimize the process for increased efficiency.

We love suppressors. We believe in saving hearing, reducing recoil, and maintaining situational awareness while shooting and hunting to create a more enjoyable experience. We ultimately question why shooting has to be loud. We never build a "me too" product. We never settle for "good enough," we strive to disrupt. We do what we do because we want better products, because we believe in the 2nd Amendment, and because we are users ' we shoot and hunt and want the best experience possible. SilencerCo enjoys the challenge of bringing products to market in a meaningful way that captures immediate market share.
