Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Drafter with hands-on experience in SolidWorks and Creo to join our [engineering/design] team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings, models, and documentation to support our product development and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify 2D and 3D technical drawings using SolidWorks and Creo software.
- Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and other inputs to create precise models and layouts.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure design intent and functionality are accurately represented.
- Maintain and update CAD models and drawings to reflect changes and revisions.
- Assist in creating bills of materials (BOMs) and other documentation as required.
- Perform tolerance analyses and ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
- Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards.
- Support manufacturing and assembly teams by providing technical drawings and resolving any design-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Drafting experience with SolidWorks and Creo.
- Proficiency in creating detailed drawings, layouts, and 3D models.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with additional CAD tools or simulation software.
- Understanding of ISO standards or industry-specific certifications.
