Job Description:
Purpose: Define skill levels for Operator positions and establish an objective process to evaluate and assign operators to those skill levels.
Scope: This skill and level system applies to all Operator positions.
Assessment Process: Initial assignment is based on work experience and skills assessed during the interview process. Operators are reassessed within performance reviews to determine if they should be assigned to a higher skill level.

Requirements:
- Level 1 Operator
- Maintain full press assignments (1-3 presses).
- Keep downstream equipment running without bulk during normal operating conditions.
- Complete operator logs on time and pull quality shots as needed.
- Understand box erecting, feeding, taping, and labeling processes.
- Familiarize yourself with palletizing systems.
- Maintain a clean work area and occasionally clean outside of your workstation.
- Use manual palletizing when the system is down. - Level 2 Operator
- Meet or exceed Level 1 requirements.
- Maintain downstream equipment operation without bulk during abnormal conditions.
- Work on bulk as needed at your press during normal operating conditions. - Level 3 Operator
- Meet or exceed Level 1 and 2 requirements.
- Cross-trained in one or more positions (Utility, Quality, Value Added, etc.).
- Serve as a designated trainer and mentor for new operators, providing guidance after their initial 2-week training period.
