Job Title: Salon Business Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Salon Business Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our salon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the business, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining smooth operations, and driving profitability in services and retail. The Salon Business Manager will work closely with staff, clients, and ownership to uphold the salon's standards and create a welcoming and efficient environment for both employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management:
  • Hire, train, and supervise salon staff, including hairstylists, assistants and receptionists.
  • Schedule and manage the staff’s shifts, ensuring the salon is adequately staffed.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment by addressing employee concerns and conflicts.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve staff skills and service.
  • Customer Service:
  • Ensure that clients receive exceptional service by maintaining a welcoming, clean, and professional environment.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and make improvements where necessary.
  • Financial Management:
  • Manage the salon's budget, including overseeing expenses and revenue.
  • Track sales and develop strategies to improve profitability.
  • Process payroll, manage inventory, and oversee product ordering and stock levels.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to identify areas for growth.
  • Marketing and Promotions:
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
  • Manage social media accounts, promotions, and advertising to increase the salon’s visibility and sales.
  • Coordinate events, promotions, and partnerships to drive business growth.
  • Salon Operations:
  • Ensure the salon is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage salon equipment and supplies to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain client records, appointment schedules, and any other administrative duties.
  • Business Development:
  • Identify opportunities for business expansion, such as new services or products.
  • Build relationships with clients and local businesses to improve business partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably within the beauty industry.
  • Strong understanding of salon operations, customer service, and financial management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in salon management software and general office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of current beauty trends and products.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in business management or a related field is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift light to moderate weights.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week

  • Choose your own hours
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Weekends as needed

Supplemental Pay:

  • Bonus opportunities
