Silver Birch of Avondale is seeking Medication Technicians to join our team. You will ensure that all documentation, charting and reporting is done correctly and in a timely manner, demonstrate strong ethical and safety practices, and work closely with other care staff on resident updates and/or changes in status.
Silver Birch is an Assisted Living Community dedicated to providing the best care, compassion, and customer service to seniors in our communities.
What you will be doing
- Completing general maintenance tasks
- Repairing and replacing drywall, paint, cabinetry, lighting, fixtures, and flooring
- Plumbing maintenance for sinks, toilets, and showers
- Moving and assembling furniture
- Completing work orders and keeping records of repairs
- Providing transportation for residents using the community van
- Providing back-up support for Housekeeping
- Providing exceptional customer service
What we're looking for
- High School Diploma/GED required
- One (1) or more years of experience in maintenance positions, healthcare or multi-unit experience preferred
- Valid Driver's License in good standing and excellent driving record
- Working knowledge of basic maintenance functions
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment
- Ability to receive and follow verbal and written direction
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong customer service orientation
- Comfortable working with senior population
- Basic computer skills
