Position Overview

Silver Creek Materials (SCM), located on the West Side of Fort Worth, is a surface mining, large-scale composting, and recycling operation. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing inventory, processing orders, and coordinating shipping and receiving of parts and materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Sales & Marketing Director
  • Sell Compost, Liquids Recycling, and Mining products and services
  • Assist with preparing quotes and providing product samples
  • Grow and manage both existing and new accounts
  • Utilize sales tools and prospecting websites
  • Use Microsoft Office and various computer software systems
  • Learn about SCM mining products and processes
  • Engage in Mining market activities, including customer visits, meetings, and interactions focused on customer needs
  • Build and maintain a network within the customer business
  • Collaborate with team members to promote SCM products and services
  • Work with Finance & Accounting for payment and invoice issues
  • Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and standards
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience (5 years in B2B sales)
  • Experience in business-to-business sales, especially in construction, is a bonus
  • Strategic and systematic thinking skills
  • Proven track record of increasing customer base and revenue in a competitive market
  • CRM software experience (NetSuite CRM experience is a plus)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with mining and related industries is a plus
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Bilingual (preferred but not required)
