Job Title : Heavy Equipment Technician
Location : 2251 Silver Creek Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76108
FLSA Classification : Non-Exempt
Position Type and Schedule : Full-Time
Schedule : 1st shift- Monday- Friday 6 : 00am-3 : 00pm and 2nd shift Monday through Friday 2 : 00pm-11 : 00pm
Both shift will work on Saturday as needed from 7 : 00am-1 : 00pm
Pay Range : $25.00-$35.00 DOE
About the role
A Heavy Equipment Technician for a mining company is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of large machinery used in mining operations. This includes equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, haul trucks, loaders, and drilling rigs. Given the demanding environment of mining sites, the role requires a deep understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems, as well as the ability to work in potentially hazardous conditions.
What you'll do
- Maintenance and Repair :
Perform regular maintenance and repairs on mining equipment, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.
Conduct inspections to assess the condition of machinery and identify potential problems before they cause breakdowns.
Order and maintain inventory of spare parts and components for equipment repairs.
Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs, including parts used and time spent on each job.
Work closely with other team members, such as operators and supervisors, to ensure that equipment is serviced efficiently and that operational downtime is minimized.
Ensure all repair work complies with the company's safety protocols and regulatory standards.
