Job Summary: Maintains a quality Human Resources Department that recruits, onboards, and retains high performing staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s of Science or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, and/or Organization Development required.
- Strong leadership skills and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Great organizational skills; written/verbal communication skills; and problem-solving skills required.
- Preferred previous experience in human resources.
- Preferred specialized training in employment law, employee compensation/benefits, organizational planning/development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations.
Essential Duties:
- Follows School Board policies and all applicable labor laws and regulations.
- Oversees the Payroll Department for compliance and accuracy.
- Reports to the Superintendent and serves on the Superintendent’s Cabinet.
- Assists and advises building/district administration on Human Resources issues.
- Employee recruitment, onboarding, and retainment including orientation, training, safety, and wellness.
- Staff performance management and improvement systems.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation.
- Guides management and employee actions by assisting with policy updates.
- Promotes positive employee and public relations; services and counseling.
- Oversees employee compensation and benefits administration.
- Development of an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Effectively manages employee personnel records systems including evaluations and licensures.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or designee.
Terms of Employment:
- Salary commensurate with experience
- 260 Days Annually
