Job Summary:

As a Group Sales Reservation Agent, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional customer service to individuals and groups seeking to host events at Silver Dollar City’s family of attractions. In this role, you'll engage with guests through inbound calls and emails, providing detailed information and helping secure bookings for our third-party partners and a variety of group outings, including family reunions, corporate events, student and youth groups, tours, and more. You will also proactively reach out to current and past group clients through outbound calls, offering personalized recommendations and cross-selling additional experiences such as park and cruise packages to enhance their visit.

Your ability to manage client accounts, navigate spreadsheets, and efficiently enter data is crucial. Excellent computer, phone, and organizational skills are a must. While the role includes office tasks such as booking and account management, it also offers the opportunity to be actively involved in special events. You might find yourself greeting guests on-site during our busiest event days, ensuring a smooth experience for everyone involved.

As a key part of our Group Sales team, you’ll collaborate with various departments to ensure each client’s needs are met with precision and care. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Strive to exceed guest expectations, delivering memorable customer service while booking groups for all Silver Dollar City Attractions.
  • Foster teamwork, supporting hosts across various departments to ensure our guests make memories worth repeating.
  • Provide support and collaboration with Group Sales Managers/Coordinators.
  • Embrace and promote existing and new marketing initiatives for all group markets.
  • Representing our brand with sincerity and enthusiasm by cross-promoting properties and added-value products.
  • Maintain daily communication with third-party partners, existing accounts, and prospective groups.
  • Identify future leads and communicate potential opportunities with Sales Managers.
  • Respond to client inquiries in a prompt and timely manner.
  • Communicate accurate pricing via proposals and contracts while maintaining clear internal and external communication.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of Parks and Showboat facilities to effectively communicate the full brand experience to clients.
  • Stay updated on product changes to ensure an accurate representation of the attractions.
  • Utilize internal sales systems for group reservations, tracking, and reporting.
  • Assist with reports, data entry, and special projects when called upon.
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to the company’s core culture initiatives.

Required Experience:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Prefer 2-5 years’ experience in the service or hospitality industry
  • Prefer proven sales experience in hospitality, retail, telemarketing, or sales-related fields, with the ability to perform responsibilities in a fast-paced
  • environment.
  • Experience with common office software such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Proven ability to work with others in a call center environment.
  • Stable work history with a focus on exceeding guest expectations and sales goals.
  • Experience in maintaining strong client relationships via written and oral communication.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams to execute special projects and duties as assigned.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.

  • Physical demands include the ability to move around the worksite, including climbing stairs, bending, and lifting 5-20 pounds.

Work Environment:

A group sales reservation agent works primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks. The role involves exposure to various weather conditions, uneven terrain, and moderate noise levels. Agents use office tools like fax machines, printers, phones, computers, and others, requiring precision and adherence to safety protocols. Work includes collaboration with team members and mentors.
