White Water - Food, Team Member (Seasonal, 2025)

Job Summary:

The Food Team Member is responsible for running a computerized cash register, counting back change, and preparing the most unique food a water park can offer all while Creating Memories Worth Repeating® with our guests!

This position starts 04/12/2025 and ends 09/01/2025.

Must be at least 16 years of age

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Greet guests and take guest product orders.
• Make customers feel welcome and appreciated.
• Maintain a themed environment.
• Prepare and cook food products.
• Handle cash and make change while operating Point of Sale registers.
• Properly handle customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
• Maintain a safe food environment and following safety procedures.
• Clean and bus tables as assigned.
• Utilize suggestive selling.
• Implement shop closing and cleaning procedures.
• Maintain positive, helpful relationships with teammates.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment as deemed necessary.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Basic math skills including making change and counting change back to guests.
• Able to complete an in-house ServSafe food training class.
• Able to communicate efficiently.

• The ability to lift 20 pounds frequently to 50 pounds maximum
• The ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete continuously
• The ability to work in extreme weather frequently
• The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
• The ability to remember locations, understand and carry out instructions continuously
• The ability to work at a rapid speed frequently

Work Environment:

A Food Team Member works primarily indoors in a kitchen environment of the water park, with occasional outdoor tasks in food service stands or kiosks. The role involves exposure to various weather conditions, uneven terrain, and moderate to high noise levels, often working independently. Food Team Member s use a variety of tools including phones, radios, and cash registers to communicate and ensure quality guest experiences. Work includes collaboration with teams and mentors, with a focus on ensuring safety in the guest experience.
