White Water - Maintenance, Water Tester (Seasonal, 2025)

Job Summary:

The Water Tester position maintains and repairs buildings and grounds, tests water quality in pools and attractions, and provides routine maintenance tests of rides for daily operation by performing the following duties.

This position starts 04/12/2025 and ends 09/01/2025.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs routine maintenance of buildings.
• Repairs or replaces brick, stone, and concrete.
• Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts, in machines and equipment.
• Assists in unloading and storing supplies.
• Tests chlorine content and PH value of water with water testing kit and completes daily log of test results.
• Does daily maintenance check of all attractions to ensure safe and timely opening of the facility to the public and completes the daily log of maintenance checks.
• Manages difficult or emotional customer situations.
• Responds promptly to customer needs.
• Responds to requests for service and assistance.
• Read and interpret written information.
• Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
• Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift and/or move 40 pounds frequently to 100 pounds maximum
• The ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete continuously
• The ability to work in extreme weather frequently
• The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
• The ability to remember locations, understand and carry out instructions continuously
• The ability to work at a rapid speed frequently
• The ability to use equipment such as power saws, drills, impact wrenches, sanders, golf carts, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.

Work Environment:

A Water Tester works primarily outdoors inside a water park environment, with occasional indoor tasks in office spaces, communal rooms, and maintenance shops. The role involves exposure to various weather conditions, uneven terrain, and moderate to high noise levels, often working independently. Water Testers use a variety of tools including radios to communicate and ensure adherence to safety protocols. The role will also work with a variety of pool chemical agents and testing methods to ensure water quality standards are met. Work includes collaboration with teams and mentors, with a focus on ensuring safety for guests and employees.
