What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Resilience Campaign Coach position at Silver Hill Hospital?
The Community Resilience Campaign (CRC) Coach is responsible for executing a comprehensive mental health and resiliency coaching program, unique to each organization, through completion of needs assessments, assisting in development and planning of mental health and resiliency educational programs, curriculum, and materials specifically designed to address the needs of healthcare professionals, first-responders, students, school staff, and other community groups. The CRC Coach will deliver coaching materials, evaluate the impact of resilience coaching, assist in designing and creating new resilience modules when needed, and deliver virtual and primarily in-person presentations at off-campus locations throughout Connecticut at hours convenient for the organization, including days, evenings, and weekends as needed to ensure the goals of our organizations are completely achieved.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides in-person and virtual resiliency coaching presentations to healthcare professionals, first-responders, students, school staff, and other community members.
- Deliver needs assessments and distributes evaluation tools to determine both the necessity and effectiveness of resilience coaching provided. Collaborates with the CRC team to collect and analyze participant feedback and other data to determine program effectiveness.
- Works collaboratively with the CRC team to ensure that preventative and proactive programs evolve, develop, and are implemented successfully to increase participant wellness and resilience.
- Assists the team in evaluating program effectiveness and recommending areas to increase program effectiveness.
- Disseminates culturally appropriate resiliency and burnout prevention information and education materials to first responders, healthcare workers, school staff, and other organizations needing mental health and resilience coaching.
- Assists with identifying healthcare professionals, first-responders, and other groups to promote the CRC and gather needed information to develop targeted resiliency and well-being coaching programs in-person throughout Connecticut.
- Travels throughout Connecticut to support positive, productive relationships with police and fire departments, hospital and nursing home staff, school systems, and others as necessary; and to learn names and functions of personnel and find gaps in mental health support and fill gaps with resiliency, leadership, burnout prevention, and other trainings.
- Gains an understanding of each organizations unique work environment, determining the individual and organizational requirements/needs of each using strong interpersonal communication and a committed and enthusiastic presence.
- Awareness of goals and objectives for each organization to assist the CRC team as needed in designing unique coaching materials based on specific needs.
- Assists CRC team members that conduct thorough research on mental health, well- being, and resiliency in advance to ensure evidence-based presentations appropriate for the audience.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills.
- Strong knowledge of virtual presentation platforms and Microsoft Office applications including SharePoint.
- Strong technology skills and ability to set up laptop workstation, projector, and any other technology needed when on site do deliver presentations.
- Reliable vehicle to travel from location to location throughout all regions of Connecticut.
- Must have a flexible schedule with availability days, evening, and weekends as needed to meet the needs of our organizations.
- Must have the ability to work in person and/or hybrid.
- Must enjoy working with and educating populations of varying ages 0-100 on mental health and resilience topics.
- Must have the ability to function optimally in a stressful environment, and the ability to remain calm in emotionally charged situations.
Education and Experience:
- Experience presenting mental health, resilience, and prevention education to diverse populations and professions.
- Experience in behavioral health, preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a field that provides preparation for the duties of this role, required.
- Experience working in a hospital setting and/or as a first responder, preferred.
