Marketing and Communications Manager
The Marketing Communications Manager works closely with the Director of Marketing and Strategic Analytics to drive and protect the Silver Hill Hospital brand strategy across all touchpoints. The candidate will lead the development and execution of marketing initiatives across the organization. This position creates and drives high-quality content across all channels and communications driving brand presence in the market for all Silver Hill Hospital programs and service lines. This position collaborates with and supports Business Development, Advancement, Clinical Outreach and Marketing Partners to advance the organization’s position through direct marketing, digital and print media, social media, and communication initiatives.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Implements defined communications strategy, including media relations.
- Creates relevant content for internet marketing initiatives including search engine marketing (SEM), increasing the organizational visibility in search engine results pages. Performs research on mental health and substance use to enhance marketing & communications. Fact checks content and sources. Performs regular market research, monitors and gathers relevant marketing data and trends.
- Creates and supports high-quality blog content aimed at building trust and respect with the target audiences, including, clients, industry peers, referral partners, competitors, past patients, families and donors, prospective donors and volunteers.
- Supports brand through messaging and communication initiatives in print/digital.
- Supports overall marketing strategy by leading key projects, assignments and initiatives to support brand activation.
- Proofreads and edits marketing and communications content created and submitted by others. Monitors style guides/brand standards to be used for all internal and external facing print and digital pieces for organization and each program/service line.
- Coordinates with SHH entities and vendors to create and manage collateral material, including, branded ads, flyers, invitations and other pieces as needed.
- Implements defined communications strategy, including media.
- Tracks results of marketing initiatives and provides monthly performance metrics to support efficacy.
- Performs well in a fast-paced environment. Takes initiative and works well both with the team as well as efficiently completing tasks independently. Collaborates effectively with a variety of groups at all levels of the organization.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have the ability to function optimally in a stressful environment, and the ability to remain calm in emotionally charged situations.
- Excellent computer/technology skills including MS Office.
- Familiarity with traditional and current emerging marketing channels
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 2- 5 years in professional role in corporate marketing. Health Care Industry experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing the work of multiple vendors.
- Demonstrated experience writing, editing and proofreading marketing campaigns, collateral, and communication pieces.
- Experience driving social media and communications with creative engaging content. Comprehensive understanding of and fluency across social platforms, including video-based social media platforms, features, and formats, specifically LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
