What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Adjustment Counselor, SY2025-2026 position at Silver Lake Regional School District?
SLRMS is seeking a 1.0 School Adjustment Counselor to promote student success by providing therapeutic support to students in substantially separate Special Education programs.
Duties to include but are not limited to:
- counseling students 1:1 and in groups according to their IEPs,
- participating in IEP meetings,
- completing progress notes
- leading social skills groups
- collaborating with staff
- communicating with outside providers and regular two-way communication with families
- participating in weekly Support Team meetings.
Background in working with students who have experienced trauma is strongly encouraged. A Master's in Social Work or School Counseling and an appropriate DESE license is required.
