The Director of Business Development is responsible for directing the development and continuous refinement of the facility's business development plan. Consulting with the Chief Executive Officer and other senior management staff, this position designs, develops, implements and directs the business development strategic goals, philosophy, policies, procedures, and systems for the Business Development Department and the facility.
The Director of Business Development is responsible for:
- Maintain a schedule of primary accounts including business, industry, EAPs, managed care clients, physicians/licensed practitioners, and allied health professionals.
- Continually evaluates the effectiveness of the business development performance against market constraints and changes and revises the business development plan as appropriate.
- Consult with all levels of internal/external facility functional staff on the establishment of
functional goals and product development. - Maintain business development referral admission records and statistics, including the preparation of business development reports and materials.
- Target and create new strategies for increasing business in a highly competitive market.
- Maintain and develop key business development accounts and respond to all business development opportunities.
- Provide direction, guidance, training and support to the business development team, identify team strengths and weaknesses and implement measures to improve performance.
- Conduct ongoing in-service education in the areas of customer service, telephone techniques, account management, time management, and business development strategy development at the functional level.
Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:
- Education & Licensure: Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field; Master's Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a health care business development management position with extensive business development experience resulting in measurable results, and with direct experience developing managed care agreements (especially with capitation and at-risk areas.) In addition, detailed knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles.
- Additional Skill Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license.

Compensation:
This is a full-time role and the expected compensation range is $80,000-$95,000/annually. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our Director of Business Development!
