Position Summary:
This position assists in the management and direction of the Silver Reef Casino Resort surveillance department. Organizes routine random surveillances and audits surveillance as required. This position ensures compliance with all Lummi, Federal, State and Local gaming requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS: (Include equipment knowledge/use)

Education:
- High school graduate/GED required
- AA/AS preferred (i.e. law, finance, business administration, tribal governance or a related field)
Other Skills and Abilities:
- 5-7 years’ experience as compliance, surveillance, law enforcement or regulatory manager
- Proven and progressive leadership skills
- In-depth knowledge of the Indian Gaming industry’s standards and regulations including Lummi, Federal, State and Local ordinances
- Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
- A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality, best practices and sovereignty
- Methodical and diligent; strong communication skills
- An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Lummi Tribal Gaming License, Class III, as determined by the Lummi Tribal Gaming Agency (TGA)
- Valid WA Driver’s License or the ability to obtain within 30-45 days of hire
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assists with the oversight of SRCR’s Surveillance and Compliance efforts to include but not limited to:
- Supervising Surveillance Supervisors, Technician and Observers.
- Protecting the assets of the property (and stakeholders) by observing through closed circuit television all areas of the property covered by such equipment.
- Conducting observations of cheating, dishonesty, illegal or improper activity by customers or employees as well as any violation of rules and regulations of the Lummi Nation or governmental agencies must by recorded and maintained.
- Endorses the cultural values and business objectives, ethics and values of the Silver Reef Casino Resort and its stakeholders, the Lummi Nation.
- Operates a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system to monitor casino activities.
- Prepares reports and logs; properly secures video evidence.
- Presents evaluations of any observed illegal activity or policy violations to the proper departments.
- Adheres to all Lummi, Federal, State, Local and company laws/rules.
- Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills to external and internal guests.
- Develops, plans and leads execution on initiatives to achieve continuous improvement in customer service and compliance.
- Assists with the development of compliance-related training (both development and delivery).
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments federally, state and local as well as evolving best practices.
- Prepare reports for property leadership, Lummi stakeholders and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
