We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic, providing exceptional support to both the dental team and patients. This position requires a strong understanding of infection control practices, HIPAA regulations, and medical terminology, along with the ability to assist in various general dentistry procedures.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Take and record vital signs of patients as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Manage patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, using appropriate medical coding systems.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Prepare treatment rooms for procedures, ensuring all necessary tools are sterilized and ready for use.
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Ability to assist effectively in general dentistry procedures.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy is maintained.
- Proficiency in managing patient records and medical coding systems is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
