Silver Spring Financial is a small accounting firm located in Sugar City, ID, and we are seeking a motivated and proactive Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail. A desire to learn and innovate is essential! This role is vital to the smooth operation of our office.
While prior experience with taxes, accounting, and payroll is not required, we need a candidate who is eager and capable of grasping these concepts. This role involves close interaction with these areas and requires a solid understanding to effectively support our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sorting and Scanning Tax Documents: Facilitate tax preparation by efficiently sorting, organizing, and scanning tax documents.
- Managing In-Person Tax Return Pickups: Coordinate and oversee in-person tax return pickups, ensuring clients receive their documents promptly and professionally.
- Distributing Tax Returns Electronically: Securely distribute tax returns through our online client portal, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Responding to Phone Calls & Emails: Handle phone calls and emails with a high level of professionalism, providing clear and courteous responses to clients.
- Answering Basic Payroll and Tax Questions: Provide accurate answers to basic payroll and tax-related questions from clients, consulting with team members as necessary.
- Mastering Firm Processes: Gain a thorough understanding of firm processes and stay informed about each client's specific situation.
- Assisting with Other Administrative Needs: Provide support with other administrative tasks as they arise.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of office experience (required)
