Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled OSP Field Technician to join our team at Silver Star Communications.
As an OSP Field Technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining outside plant (OSP) telecommunications facilities and equipment. This includes direct buried cable installation, fiber optic splicing, and demarcation device installation.
You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure that all installations meet the required standards and specifications.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work safely in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain OSP facilities according to engineered work orders or service orders.
- Reclaim construction areas to company standards.
- Install and maintain copper and fiber optic cable and distribution systems.
- L ocate buried copper and fiber optic facilities.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma plus 2 years of experience preferred.
- Ability to hold a valid Wyoming or Idaho Driver's License.
- Class A CDL and Tower Climbing certification required.
