We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team!
Your Role:
- Ensure timely payments on all company invoices
- Communicate with vendors and divisions regarding issues
- Reconcile statements from vendors and subcontractors
- Initiate weekly payment process by monitoring invoice due dates and discount opportunities
- Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos
- Resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation with various internal and external sources.
- Reconcile and manage general ledger accounts
- Preparing various analysis of accounts and financial reports
- Work closely with HR on payroll processing
- Comply with federal and state requirements for tax and 1099 compliance.
- Other responsibilities assigned by management
You Bring:
- 1-2 years of A/P experience
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior multi-state accounts payable experience preferred
- Experience in a high-volume environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Initiative to problem-solve independently and as a team
- Ability to evaluate current processes and work closely with department leads to increase efficiency
- Positive attitude and the desire to learn and play multiple roles
- Basic accounting principles: classification of assets, liabilities, and expenses
- Must be able to function and process within a paperless environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft, PDF documents, and attaching documents is required.
