General Summary:
The Director of Sales is a is a client facing leadership role that leads outside sales and positioning Silver Star Communications distinctive brand in the marketplace and drive revenue growth for the company. The Director of Sales responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans to meet and exceed company revenue targets; successful execution of these plans; developing and cultivating relationships with clients, positioning Silver Star Internet and Business Solutions offerings; leading sales and pre-sales engineers to exceed targets; mentoring and training sales on sales best practices, sales methodologies, and ensuring sales can position all company services and solutions. The ideal candidate will have 10 plus years of experience in sales management preferrable in telecom or business to business technology sales.
Essential Job Functions / Certifications:
· Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals.
· Create and communicate sales goals and ensure C-level executives are informed on the progress of those goals.
· Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement.
· Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
· Manage the sales teams, pre-sales, and business development managers to deliver profitable growth.
· Analyzes and controls expenditures and manages the use of budgets.
· Define optimal sales and sales operation’s structure.
· Establishes and oversees team’s performance goals (KPI’s), sales goals, quotas, compensation, commissions, and territories.
· Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives.
· Manage customer experience and promote a high level of customer satisfaction.
· Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.
· Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
· Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions.
· Understand industry-specific trends and landscape.
· Effectively communicate the Silver Star value proposition through proposals and presentations.
· Ensure creative and proactive community involvement.
· Recommends product development, positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy.
· Establishes and maintains relationships with key personnel in customer accounts and with strategic partners.
· Lead and oversee business development activities to develop pipeline.
· Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree plus ten years of experience.
· Ability to hold a valid Wyoming or Idaho Driver's License.
