Cultivation Technician

Position Overview:
The Cultivation Technician will play a vital role in supporting the entire cannabis growth cycle, from planting through to post-harvest and packaging. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on plant care experience who is passionate about cultivating high-quality cannabis in a dynamic, regulated environment. The ideal candidate will be diligent, organized, and able to follow Silver Therapeutics' cultivation practices and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Grow Operations Support: Assist with all phases of cannabis cultivation, from planting to harvesting, ensuring plants are cared for meticulously throughout each stage.
• Plant Maintenance: Execute daily plant care tasks, including planting, de-leafing, pruning, and transplanting, with close attention to plant health.
• Preparation of Grow Areas: Set up grow areas by arranging and labeling grow pots, setting up trellises, installing irrigation lines, and preparing tools and workspaces for cultivation.
• Harvesting: Support the harvest process by cutting, trimming, and hanging plants in drying rooms. Ensure cleanliness by sanitizing tools and workspaces regularly.
• Cloning: Take cuttings from mother plants and assist in the propagation process to cultivate new plants.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Observe and report any plant abnormalities or issues, such as plant illness, unusual environmental conditions, or equipment malfunctions, directly to the Director of Cultivation.
• Post-Harvest Operations: Aid in post-harvest processes, including bucking, burping, curing, and trimming, to maintain quality standards for dried flowers.
• Packaging Support: Participate in packaging tasks, ensuring proper weighing, quality control, and labeling of all finished products.
• Compliance and Protocol Adherence: Follow Silver Therapeutics’ internal policies, Maine OCP compliance regulations, and all security and access protocols.
• Other Duties: Assist with additional cultivation-related tasks as assigned by the Director of Cultivation and uphold Silver Therapeutics’ values and standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in cultivation or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of plant health and product quality.
• Familiarity with cannabis cultivation practices and compliance requirements is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
