This individual will play a pivotal role in developing innovative and effective solutions for our DoD customers within the IC sector.
Role Overview
The Computer & Network Security Specialist-Senior / ISSM is a technical management resource responsible for information system security matters. The individual will provide Cyber Security and Information System Security Management Services, ensuring the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and architectures to support network and information security systems. This role requires expertise in risk assessment, compliance evaluation, and vulnerability mitigation.
Primary Duties
- Provide technical and programmatic Cyber Security and Information System Security Management Services to internal and external customers.
- Ensure the development and implementation of information security policies, requirements, and procedures within business processes.
- Review documentation using accepted guidelines such as Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Provide Assessment and Authorization (A&A) management support by guiding the development of necessary documentation, including system security plans, contingency plans, and associated documents.
- Conduct complex vulnerability assessments, including risk mitigation strategy development in collaboration with the customer.
- Review system configurations and scan tool results to determine compliance and report findings.
- Analyze policies and procedures against Federal laws and customer regulations, providing recommendations to close compliance gaps.
- Develop strategies for privacy, risk management, and e-authentication compliance.
- Provide cyber security support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet evolving requirements.
- Evaluate, develop, and enhance security requirements, policies, and tools.
- Assist in computer incident investigations and remediation.
