Job Overview:
Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Specialist
Location: 2233 State Route 86, P.O. Box 471, Saranac Lake, NY 12983
Pay: $65 - $70/hr
Shift Type: Monday- Friday - 8 hour Day shifts
Required:
Grossing Technologist
80 hours per pay period
1 year’s grossing experience preferred.
Responsible for the accurate gross description, dissection and processing of all biopsies, routine and moderate complexity tissue specimens according to established protocols under the direct supervision of the Pathologist and/or Pathology Supervisor.
Participates in limited technical activities of the Pathology department when needed, such as accessioning, staining, cover slipping, routine maintenance and cytology specimen preparation.
Hours
Monday- Friday - 8 hour day shifts
Deal Breaker:
Bachelor’s degree in Science
Current NYS license as Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT), Medical Technologist (MT) or Histotechnologist (HTL).
