Groundskeeper/Landscaper

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to join our team that helps maintain a beautiful private residence in Garfield Bay Idaho. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our outdoor spaces. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for landscape maintenance. As a Groundskeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our grounds are well-kept and inviting.

Duties

• Perform regular lawn care activities, including mowing, edging, and fertilizing to maintain healthy grass.
• Irrigate plants and lawns as needed to ensure proper hydration and growth.
• Maintain flower beds, gardens, and other landscaped areas by planting, weeding, pruning, and mulching.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks.
• Conduct routine inspections of the grounds to identify maintenance needs or potential issues.
• Assist in the installation of new landscaping features or enhancements as directed.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
• Adhere to safety protocols while operating machinery and handling tools.

Skills

• Proficient in landscape maintenance techniques and practices.
• Experience with irrigation systems and their upkeep.
• Familiarity with using both power tools (e.g., lawn mowers, trimmers) and hand tools (e.g., shovels, rakes).
• Strong understanding of garden care principles including planting, pruning, and pest management.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
