Job Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the daily operations of HR functions, including hiring, interviewing, benefits coordination, and policy implementation. This role supports non-missionary staff at SIM USA and its retirement community, working closely with leadership to ensure HR policies and special projects align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, and hire qualified candidates.
- Conduct background checks and employee verifications.
- Manage new hire orientations and onboarding.
- Address employee personnel issues and interpret company policies.
- Maintain confidential employee files and compliance records.
- Support leadership with workplace diversity, safety, and employee development initiatives.
- Ensure legal compliance with employment laws and policies.
- Coordinate company events, benefits enrollments, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee HR-related communications and policy updates.
- Manage safety and compliance training programs.
- Coordinate volunteer onboarding and engagement within the organization.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Zoom.
- Strong discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Ability to problem-solve, multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education & Training Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with SIM mission policies and practices preferred.
- Experience in a Christian non-profit setting is a plus.
- Completion of child safety training.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
