Child Development Specialists Needed
IMMEDIATE OPENINGS: Rocky Mount, NC and surrounding areas

- Year-round contract position (1099) ongoing, with full-time and part-time positions available.
- MUST be able to work between the hours of 8am to 4pm and at LEAST 10 hours per week.
Simmons Early Intervention Therapy (SEIT) is a renowned pediatric therapy company dedicated to supporting young children and their families. We are currently seeking passionate Child Development Specialists to join our team!
About the Role:
As a Child Development Specialist, you will work with children from birth to 5 years old to address developmental delays. Our specialists provide skill-building activities through play in the child's natural environment, helping them reach developmental milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist children in achieving developmental goals related to language, motor skills, social-emotional development, and behavior through play therapy.
- Develop and implement creative play-based activities to meet the child's goals.
- Collaborate with parents/guardians to provide techniques that support the child's development.
- Provide services in various natural environments, such as homes, daycare centers, parks, and outings.
- Maintain a lively and engaging personality to keep the child involved throughout sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in fields such as Birth-Kindergarten Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Child and Family Studies, Counseling, Human Development, Family Relations, Family Studies, Family and Consumer Sciences, Nursing, Psychology, or Social Work.
- Experience working with children aged 0-5 years.
- Experience with special needs populations or children with developmental delays or behavioral challenges is a plus.
- Must be a dependable, independent, organized, and caring team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping children with special needs.
Position Details:
- 10-40 hours per week, based on available caseload and specialist's desired workload.
- 8 AM - 4 PM, Flexible schedule within those hours with required consistency week-to-week.
- Opportunity for independence within the hours of 8am to 4pm
- Serving Wayne County and surrounding areas, including but not limited to Goldsboro, Dudley, Mt. Olive, and Pikeville.
- Behavior and Autism Disorder experience is a plus!
