Simon Roofing's Mechanical Engineering Co-op and Internship Programs provide meaningful experiences that will enhance your education. Co-ops and Interns will be based at our Struthers, Ohio location and it will be twenty (20) hours per week.
Learning while Earning: The Engineering Co-op and Internship Programs are designed to give candidates the opportunity to gain practical experience that will prepare you for future employment. The projects you will work on are real. As a member of the program, you will be exposed to a wide variety of engineering and operations disciplines. This is a paid internship at $14.00 to $15.00 per hour.

- Our mechanical engineering internship involves working on real-world projects to design, develop, and test mechanical/process systems. Interns gain experience with industry tools and software, and learn how to work with cross-functional departments.
- Responsibilities are to assist in designing and developing mechanical systems, Conduct research and analysis, Collaborate with teams to solve problems, Participate in testing and validation, and Gain exposure to industry tools and software.
- Associates' or Bachelor's degree Mechanical Engineering.
- CAD proficient
- Manufacturing Engineering.
- Application Engineering.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with subcontractors, clients & vendors as needed.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. at any given point.
- Hands on mechanical experience.
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
- You are safety-focused, team-focused, dependable, resourceful, and efficient.
- You lead by example.
- You take initiative, can work independently, and can make decisions in a fast-paced, small-business environment.
- You are quality-conscious and have strong attention-to-detail.
- You understand basic electrical, fluid dynamics, machinery and interconnecting parts and processes.

Salary : $14 - $15
