Restocking the bar: Bar backs are responsible for keeping the bar stocked with supplies such as glasses, ice, napkins, straws, and garnishes. They may also need to replace empty liquor bottles, beer kegs, and wine bottles.
Cleaning and maintaining the bar: Bar backs are responsible for keeping the bar area clean and tidy. This may include wiping down counters, sweeping or mopping floors, and emptying trash bins.
Assisting bartenders: Bar backs may be responsible for helping bartenders prepare drinks, taking orders from customers, and handling cash and credit card transactions.
Managing inventory: Bar backs may need to keep track of inventory levels and report any shortages to the bartender or manager.
Supporting other staff: Bar backs may be asked to assist other staff members, such as servers or bussers, with tasks as needed.
