We are seeking a Regional Product Manager who promotes products and their features to SIMONSWERK's target audience, including architects, interior designers, door manufacturers, and hardware distributors. Since SIMONSWERK has representation in many different countries, we define the United States and Canada as a “region” in conjunction with a “regional” product and marketing manager. We are looking for a Regional Product and Marketing Manager who is an individual that can take ownership of the positioning, messaging, and branding of our products. The RPMM duties include studying the company's products, locating key features that will attract customers and creating marketing campaigns for products. The RPMM will report to the Regional Director of the SIMONSWERK Group, who is also the CEO of SIMONSWERK North America. Furthermore, the Regional Product and Marketing Manager will collaborate with their counterparts of Group Product Management and other Group Members in Germany.
Job description
Responsibilities :
- Regional (region = North America) and local product strategies (region – country – sales channel – customer specific)
o Developing and proposing product roadmaps
o Coordination and cooperation with our group product management team and group marketing team in Germany
o Identify market trends, customer requirements and program gaps and generate new ideas and concepts in cooperation with Group PM and sales, taking into account the corporate and product strategy
o Regional and local strategic product positioning and pricing, messaging, and branding over the entire life cycle from market launch to product phase-out in North America
o Brand development with new product launches
o Responsible for the definition, realization, and implementation of all product related promotion activities needed for the local sales approach
o Overseeing the creation and distribution of promotional campaigns for key products
o Overseeing media planning
o Developing and proposing marketing communication plans
o Represent SIMONSWERK North America Inc. at customer and industry tradeshows
o Creating and delivering training program for both current and new employees within the customer service and front sales teams
o Implement market launch concepts for new products including support and training of field sales
o Overseeing advertising texts including product information
o Contact person for marketing agencies
o Collaboration with peers in the industry to develop national standards
Requirements :
Minimum of four-year bachelor’s business-related degree required with an emphasis on marketing or engineering with marketing / sales background. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in developing, planning and implementing the key elements (product, price, place, promotion) to market a technical building product. He / she should have 10 years experience as a product manager and / or as a marketing manager, ideally in the building material industry. As we manufacture and market technical products, it is important that the candidate has a good technical-mechanical understanding and has a solid knowledge of the design of modern building concepts. The candidate shall possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills. The right individual will have strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills. Success will require a “can do” attitude with the skill to handle multiple tasks with great attention to detail. Tradeshow experience is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
