Here What a Typical Day Might Look Like
- Morning Prep & First Impressions | You’ll arrive a little early to ensure everything is ready for the day—checking the schedule, confirming any last-minute patient changes, and making sure the office organized and welcoming. As patients begin arriving, you greet them by name with a smile, helping them check in quickly and comfortably. It’s a great way to start the day on a positive note!
- Scheduling & Managing Appointments | Throughout the day, you’ll be managing the office schedule—answering calls, rescheduling appointments, and ensuring there enough time for each patient to receive the attention they deserve. If a patient calls with questions about their treatment or their next visit, you’ll be there to provide clear information, guide them through their options, and help them feel confident about their care.
- Insurance & Billing | A key part of your role is assisting patients with insurance verifications and understanding their coverage. You’ll spend part of your day coordinating with insurance companies, verifying benefits, and processing claims. You’ll also answer billing questions and ensure patients have a clear understanding of their financial responsibilities.
- Patient Care Coordination | You’ll work closely with our dental team, ensuring the patient charts are up-to-date, treatment plans are communicated, and necessary follow-up appointments are scheduled. You might remind patients about upcoming procedures or provide them with instructions for their next visit. You're the bridge between our patients and our clinical staff, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
- Administrative Tasks | In between patient interactions, you’ll keep the office running smoothly by handling filing, maintaining patient records, and performing general office duties. You might also be responsible for ordering supplies or helping ensure the office stays organized and welcoming for both patients and staff.
- End of Day Wrap-Up | As the day winds down, you’ll check the schedule for the following day and week, follow up with any outstanding insurance issues, put together end-of-day reporting, and make sure all patient records are updated and ready for the next visit. You’ll also assist in prepping and cleaning the office for the next day’s patients, setting the team up for a successful morning.
Throughout the day, your work will be balanced with interaction with a friendly team and thoughtful patients. You’ll be busy, but you’ll always have the support of your colleagues. Above all, you’ll know that your role is critical in helping provide excellent care in a warm, personal environment—not a corporate office.
