The Role
Simplehuman is seeking an experienced Logistics/Sales Ops Manager to join and lead our logistics coordination team in our main distribution center in Long Beach, CA. The Logistics/Sales Ops Lead will manage a team of Logistics/Sales Ops Coordinators, allocate resources and workload, provide mentorship and guidance, and process inbound and outbound shipments to our wholesale customers as well as E-Commerce orders.
The Logistics/Sales Ops Manager will ensure that any delays are addressed and corrected immediately so as to not negatively affect our customer’s experience. This includes working within our ERP and WMS in order to allocate, process, and generate orders/work for our wholesale and e-commerce order building, communicating directly with our Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve any issues with orders, and ultimately ensure that our same-day shipping promise to our customers is upheld.
This position is a key role that requires excellent attention to detail, problem solving skills, great communication, outstanding work ethic, and above all, leadership qualities and experience. The ideal candidate should be familiar with shipments to large, national retailers, and experience managing a team. This is a full-time, direct-hire position.
Job Responsibilities
- Review customer reporting weekly and monthly and report to senior managers to verify all e-commerce and B2B orders have been fulfilled in a timely manner.
- Evaluate customer routing guides, create SOPs, and implement customer policies in day-to-day operations.
- Analyze competitive shipment rates to use for transfers, commercial orders, and retail orders.
- Research non-compliance chargebacks or invoices and dispute orders with evidence.
- Supervise logistics coordinators, delegate tasks, and provide performance feedback.
- Responsible for outbound ecommerce and B2B orders in multiple warehouse locations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
- Maintain organization and prioritization of tasks to run the department efficiently.
- Provide support to Sales for creating cost-effective transportation options for customer accounts and meet necessary deadlines and projects.
- Work with planning team to monitor stock levels for high priority customers.
- Assist the warehouse to research and resolve systematical errors prohibiting them from completing their orders.
- Assist the year-end reconciliation of inventory variances, reducing discrepancies and improving accuracy.
- Check daily for open orders in TMS system at EOD.
Qualifications
- 4-5 years of logistics experience.
- 2-3 years of people management experience.
- Experience with ERP and WMS systems, FedEx/UPS software.
- Ability to efficiently work independently with little direct supervision, as well as in a team environment.
- Good spoken and written communication.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Team management experience.
