Financial Accounting Associate - Credit and Collections

 Credit Monitoring and Management Duties

• Review and approve customer Terms and Conditions. 
• Send new customer packets and review all information to determine credit worthiness. 
• Complete customer forms.
• Analyze and review customer credit history. 
• Send deposit invoices and follow up for payment.
• Ensure timely customer payments and transfers.
• Identify potential risk on customer credit accounts. 
• Analyze financial information on Sales Orders to approve for shipment.
• Monitor Accounts Receivable to make decisions regarding customer accounts.
• Evaluate and approve credit applications.
• Risk management for customer credit limits.
• Assist with review of work in process to determine timing of deposit invoices.

Accounting Department Duties

• Organize, analyze and maintain financial records.
• Manage spreadsheets and data needed for maintenance and accuracy of accounting systems, as assigned.
• Assist as needed with weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reconciliations and analysis. 
• Perform weekly and monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts and activity, as assigned.
• Reconcile service reports and credit card activities as a backup for accounting.
• Input information into proprietary software accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a workflow that ensures timely adherence to all deadlines.
• Become an integral member of the Accounting Department.
• Work across departments including Sales, Operations, Service and Production.

Requirements

• Education and/or experience equivalent to 4-year degree in accounting
• Experience in ERP systems and/or accounting systems
• Minimum 5 years in an accounting role or accounting environment
• Highly organized with attention to detail 
• Able to prioritize daily tasks and work independently
• Strong computer skills including use of Microsoft Office and proprietary software 
• Problem solving skills and ability to work effectively under demanding deadlines
• Documentation and report preparation experience 
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats
• Must be able to communicate (read, write and speak) the English language clearly
