Summary / Job Objective: Full time Sr. AP Specialist with knowledge of all aspects of the accounts payable process. This position requires a professional individual who has analytical and problem-solving skills. This person should also be able to perform a wide range of tasks and projects while working well under pressure. The individual must be comfortable in a friendly but fast paced environment and have the ability to multi-task.

Position Title: Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist

Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate, timely and complete processing of all AP transactions and coding to General Ledger
- Identify and drive process improvements/new approaches to processes through automation
- Maintain effective relationships with business partners/ vendors through timely and accurate payment and response to inquiries
- Prepare, review and analyze select general ledger accounts payable account reconciliations, journal entries and accruals
- Supervise the Expense Travel / Entertainment and Purchasing card programs
- Review account activity in AP and monitor trends in invoice processing or aging while escalating priority issues timely
- Review all invoices and seek approval prior to processing, determine appropriate accounting treatment and properly code invoices in accounting system
- Maintain company travel & expense program, prepare batches in accounting system for reimbursement
- Supervise corporate credit card portfolio including reconciling expenses in credit card statements to expense reports
- Serve as a point of contact for vendor related issues on purchase orders, billing discrepancies, supporting documentation, etc.
- Assist with the preparation and issuance of 1099s
- Reconcile vendor’s statements, research and correct discrepancies such as duplicates etc.
- Maintain AP files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with accounting practices
- 7 years of experience in Cash Management and online platforms
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains a plus
- Experience with Concur a plus
- Experience managing a corporate credit card program
- Knowledge of accounting & corporate finance principles and procedures
- Proficient computer skills (excel, word, e-mail & internet proficiency)
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to successfully work within a team, as well as independently
Compensation (based On Experience)
- Base salary: $70,000 - $75,000
- This is an exempt position
- Annual performance bonus target: 5%
