Our Electrical Process Technician is a critical part of the Michigan Can Lines team. You will support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and optimization across a vast range of hardware and software such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), Variable Speed Dives (VSD), Servo systems, Safety systems, Industrial Networks, Instrumentation and Sensors.
Responsibilities :
- Support electrical projects and maintenance of existing electrical systems
- Work in conjunction with other departments to improve safety, quality, and production processes, reduce delays, increase efficiency, and reduce cost
- Troubleshoot and resolve plant wide electrical issues as they arise
- Apply continuous improvement methods to enhance production quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics and other technical documentation
- Utilize statistical means to optimize and improve performance
- Analyze process performance data and identify trends, runs, to reduce process variation
- Participate and contribute to the achievement of department goals
- Identify and solve chronic / repetitive problems and failures
- Set-up, calibrate and commission a wide variety of instrumentation that interfaces to automation & control systems
- Troubleshoot and install facility power distribution and lighting services
- Perform general electrical work and other duties as assigned

This position is exposed to occupational hazards, including but not limited to, high noise levels, high ambient temperature, working from heights, physical obstacles, exposure to chemicals, etc. and requires working with or near energized 480 VAC circuits.
