Summary
The Financial Controller will direct and manage the overall Record to Report (R2R) financial reporting activities for an assigned area. Responsible for the safeguarding of assets by maintaining good internal controls via sound financial systems and qualified financial teams. Provide financial guidance, expertise, and recommendations to Business Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage R2R Process for assigned business areas/entities.
- Oversee assessment, design and monitoring of controls over financial reporting (irrespective of where such activities occur.)
- Lead and/or participate in governance and optimization of R2R activities. Liaison to Ops accounting and FP&A teams.
- Specific activities as applicable to customer or stakeholder needs.
- Interview, train, develop and motivate employees to foster their professional development and growth through results-oriented focus, clear communication and direction, delegation and active career development and coaching.
- Lead contact for annual external audit for Global Ag.
- Continually evaluate, alter and improve the function to respond to changing needs of the organization, new products, new business, individual initiatives and other activities.
- Prepares appropriate explanations relating to report items of particular interest or significance, uses some judgment in determining what would be of interest or importance.
- Ability to interact and communicate with a variety of people on many different levels in person and remotely and manage interpersonal relationships and conflict.
Typical Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
Master’s degree preferred
Relevant Experience
Required Certifications

- Minimum 10 years of accounting experience
- Prior leadership experience
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position
- Experience with JDE, Agvance, Power BI, Axiom or SAP preferred
