Position Overview :

As a Senior Project Engineer on our Professional Services team, you'll join a highly skilled group dedicated to empowering you to excel. In this role, you will help lead the execution of complex IT projects for LMT clients, delivering impactful and innovative solutions. Success in this position requires strong technical expertise and exceptional collaboration with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to consistently exceed client expectations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Understand client requirements and technology requirements when executing projects

Execution of project work plans as described in the SOW

Onboard new clientsEmail migrationsServer projectsConfigure and install software, servers, routers and other network devicesDesign and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) Create, oversee, and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)Implement MDMIT Asset Management Equipment prep for projectsOther projects as assigned

Regularly report on project updates to the Project Leadership Team.

Collaborate with the Project Engineering team and applicable vCIO's to create more efficient project methods to maintain project profitability

Maintain detailed project documentation

Flexible schedule required to adapt to the needs of the project team with availability to work After-Hours when necessary

Reliable mode of transportation required as approximately 50% of the Senior Project Engineer's time is spent onsite at Client sites

Punctual and dependable attendance is required to meet the needs of our clients and the LMT team

Perform other related duties as assigned

Working Conditions

Hybrid Work Environment : a mix of office-based / remote work from home with 50% client site visits

Will involve occasional travel to client sites in NJ and CA

Must have a valid driver's license and access to timely and reliable transportation to get to work

Required Technical Skills

10 years of engineering experience

Enterprise server hardware

Managing Microsoft Windows Server and Debian based Linux distributions

High availability clustering and SQL always on availability

SAN and iSCSI configuration and management

Designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure

SonicWall

Microsoft Active Directory, DNS and DHCP Server

Managing Microsoft Entra domain services and Azure infrastructure

Managing Microsoft Hyper-V or ESXi Hypervisors

Enterprise backup solutions

Troubleshooting Enterprise Systems

Required Soft Skills

Organizational Skills - Able to prioritize workloads

Problem Solving Abilities - Troubleshoot problems as they arise to find efficient and effective solutions

Keen Attention to Detail - Able to focus on many tasks at once while still maintaining close attention to the details

Communication Skills - In regular communication with clients and applicable LMT team members : The vCIO, Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and Subject Matter Experts (SME's), to convey updates and alert if issues arise

Documentation Skills - Maintain detailed information on work performed, update client documentation as needed, and complete daily time entries in LMT's PSA

Additional Preferred Skills

Experience working in a regulated Manufacturing environment with a focus on compliance

Familiarity with change control management processes

Knowledge of frameworks such as CMMC, ITAR, and CIS a plus

Familiarity with ConnectWise and enterprise level MSP software products such as Liongard and ScalePad
