We are seeking motivated and talented individuals to assist with the daily operations of the business, special projects, and various assignments. This is a twelve-week paid-internship program with cohorts available in the Spring and Summer semesters. The goal of this program is to help further develop your communication, leadership, and professional skills while gaining valuable real-world experience in a work environment for a dynamic organization.
As an Intern, you will work closely with a Department Lead who will provide you with hands-on projects and daily tasks to help you become career ready. The Internship Program will provide all Camillo Companies Interns with various opportunities for professional development, including:

Job Description
Job Title: People & Culture Intern
Department: People & Culture
Reports To: People & Culture Business Partner / Manager
Status: Non-exempt/Hourly
Job Summary:
We are looking to employ an enthusiastic and driven People & Culture (PAC) Intern to assist our People & Culture department with administrative and HR-related tasks. The PAC Intern’s responsibilities include providing support and development with policies and procedures and assisting with special projects. The intern will gain hands-on experience working on a variety of PAC projects. The PAC Intern should be detail-oriented and able to demonstrate excellent administrative and organizational skills.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of social and employee engagement activities aimed at fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Collaborating with other teams across the company to promote PAC best practices.
- Work alongside the People and Culture team to support initiatives aimed at enhancing the company’s employer brand and attracting top talent.
- Respond to and manage general HR inquiries, including maintaining and tracking requests received via the People and Culture email inbox.
- Provide assistance to employees with UKG system-related queries, including password resets and general account navigation.
- Maintain and update company organization charts to ensure accurate representation of reporting structures, departmental changes, and personnel updates across all levels of the organization.
- Assist in reviewing and publishing job postings in the UKG system to support recruitment efforts
- Participate in new hire orientation and assist with the onboarding experience, including meeting new hires on their first day, reviewing and completing Form I-9 documentation, and analyzing feedback from company-administered onboarding surveys.
- Provide support in DE&I projects and initiatives, helping to create an inclusive and supportive work environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with the People and Culture Business Partner to develop and update creative ideas for new hire social activities.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of a company-wide new hire buddy program, including brainstorming ideas and crafting a detailed plan.
- Support the PAC Team with the Camillo Companies People & Culture initiatives and projects list.
- Assist with the Learning Management System in UKG.
- Assist with all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele.
- Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization.
- Knowledge of management methods and sound employee relations techniques with an ability to connect to staff, troubleshoot problems and help teams collaborate, as necessary.
