Automotive Shop Assistant

Purpose & Objective:

The Service Advisor role is critical to the success of SimplyTRUE. This position is responsible for selling customers the recommended services and repairs made by the technicians based on the customer’s needs, goals, and preferences. This role also provides administrative and customer support services. As a Lead Service Advisor, you will have the opportunity to train and mentor junior service advisors.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

PRIMARY:

• Sales: Leveraging industry best practices and company guidelines, our ServiceAdvisorssell repairs and services to customers. We are customer focused and take a consultative sales approach, providing solutions to meet the varied needs, goals and preferences of our clients.
• Customer Service: Provide industry leading customer care, by answering questions and inquiries over the phone, via email, and in person.

SECONDARY:

• Administrative: Create repair orders, help process part orders/returns, dispatch repairs/parts as needed under direction of manager.
• Mentoring: Train junior Service Advisors, serve a role model for the Service Advising team, encourage teammates to develop their advising skills.

Any other duties as needed to drive to the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the value of this organization.

Must possess the following Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Possess a valid US Driver's License, be insurable on the store insurance policy, and be able to drive a vehicle with passengers.
• 8-10 years of service advising experience or demonstrated ability to sell.
• Proven track record of high volume sales ($75,000 individual Gross Profit months).
• Ability to handle difficult customer interactions with ease.
• Experience in training/mentoring teammates.
• Skilled in basic computer functions/programs such as: word processing, spreadsheets, email usage, calendar management, project management software, etc.
• Able to communicate in English fluently, both in verbal and in written form. This includes the use of a telephone.
• Skilled and able to perform basic accounting and math
• Must be able to get into and out of various vehicles without assistance.
• Requires standing approximately 5 – 8 hours per day
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs regularly

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
