Senior Newscast Producer

WBFF is looking for a Senior Newscast Producer – Monday-Friday, Dayside!

If you’re a news junkie with a knack for crafting compelling newscasts, we want you on our team! WBFF, Baltimore’s #1 TV station, has an immediate opening for a Senior Newscast Producer—a role that puts you in the driver’s seat of our newscasts and sets you on the path to becoming an Executive Producer. The best part? You’ll have a stable Monday-Friday, dayside schedule—though, of course, news never stops, so some flexibility is needed.

What You’ll Do:

• Own the daily production of our newscasts from story selection to final execution
• Work closely with the News Director and Assistant News Director, as well as our Executive Producers, Assignment Desk, Directors, Reporters and Anchors to bring the best stories to life
• Shape the content and flow of the show, making editorial decisions
• Write engaging, accurate scripts that keep our audience informed and coming back for more
• Develop content not just for TV, but for our website and digital platforms
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong news judgment and a passion for telling stories that matter
• Excellent writing skills—you can break down complex stories and make them compelling
• Time management pro—you thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Leadership and communication skills—you’ll help guide the team and keep the show on track
• Quick thinker—breaking news doesn’t scare you, it excites you
• Experience with non-linear editing (Avid) and newsroom systems like iNews is a plus
  
  

What You Need:

• 3 years of producing experience in a commercial TV newsroom (but if you're a rockstar with less experience, we still want to hear from you!)
• A Journalism degree is preferred
  
  

The hourly compensation range for this role is $26.90 to $33.62. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, quarterly and annual incentive plan bonuses, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
