Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Associate to join our overnight warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, overseeing inventory adjustments, and notating any lack of process/procedure being followed to remove/add inventory into our system. This role requires strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with little supervision. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication/documentation skills.
- Conduct daily inventory audits of our contract equipment to ensure accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
- Communicate with individuals from other departments on discrepancies found and ensure follow-through with rectifying issues to ensure proper inventory.
- Maintain inventory management procedures and protocols, reporting any evidence of failure to follow these procedures/protocols to a supervisor.
- Utilize inventory management software to track and update inventory records in real-time.
- Keep accurate data on all audits to assist supervisors with identifying inventory discrepancies, aged orders, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, adjustments, and variances for management review.
- Research products unable to be located by warehouse personnel to ensure picking availability.
Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role, preferably in a warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and trends.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control best practices.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in inventory control or a related field is highly desirable.
Working Conditions:
- This position typically operates in a warehouse environment and does include the use of a cherry picker, often going high into the air on the machine.
- May require lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and loud noise levels.
Work Location: Paterson, NJ / Remote
Compensation: $23-$26/hr
Hours: 12am-10am Monday-Thursday
